SAC Publication Digest

The SAC Publication Digest contains abstracts of reports produced by state Statistical Analysis Centers (SACs). The SACs, JRSA’s core members, are state agencies that collect, analyze, and disseminate justice data, and these reports cover a wide array of topics and analysis approaches for criminal justice data at the state level.

The abstracts of reports published in 2004 and later can be accessed through a key word search or through discrete PDF files, below, in which abstracts are grouped by publication date and topic. Most reports can be retrieved by clicking on the report title. For those that cannot, please contact the SAC directly. Abstracts of reports published prior to 2004 are available through the Infobase of State Activities and Research.

State Justice Statistics and Publications

This section of the SAC/State Publication Library contains listings of and links to SAC data and non-SAC state publications and data. Sources include state legislatures, departments of law enforcement, departments of corrections, courts, sentencing commissions, and juvenile justice agencies. Other agencies may be added in the future as deemed appropriate.

Our intent is to create a state-level justice data clearinghouse to make it easier for those in the field to find this information in one place. While these data may be easily accessible in each state, locating and comparing them across states is more complicated. This section is updated every six months.

Listings may be viewed either cross-state by topic or by individual state. Abstracts for state research reports can be viewed by clicking the "Abstract" link after the publication title.
