Evaluation of St. Leonard's Ministries: A Prisoner Reentry Program
St. Leonard's Ministries operates two transitional residential programs for individuals leaving prison-St. Leonard's House for men and Grace House for women. The goal of this study is to learn about the program's residents and operations and to identify program components that contribute to successful resident outcomes. This information will educate criminal justice professionals and the public about the potential benefit of a long-standing, structured reentry program for formerly incarcerated men and women. ICJIA researchers conducted case studies of program clients, staff interviews, and field observations. In addition, the researchers will use administrative data to track outcomes from clients, including arrests, reincarceration, and employment.
