The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) administers the Title II Formula Grants Program, which includes funding for eligible Federally-recognized American Indian and Native American tribes as specified by Congress as part of the formula grant funding to states included in the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act of 1974, as amended. Minimum awards for tribes are calculated based on the number of juveniles that are provided services by tribes with law enforcement functions.
