Tables to Demonstrate the Capabilities of NIBRS

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has designed simple, clear tables and charts to demonstrate NIBRS contents and capabilities. Seventeen tables have been gathered into a sample document, National Incident-Based Reporting System 1999, which displays 1999 NIBRS data.

The FBI is soliciting feedback on the tables. If you would like to contribute suggestions, please print the document and complete the form at the end, or send an email to NIBRS@leo.gov.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics has also developed 21 tables to assist in the development and presentation of incident-based crime data. These tables were chosen to provide policy-relevant criminal information.
